Former CFTC Chair Christopher Giancarlo Joins Swiss Crypto Bank Sygnum as Senior Policy Advisor
Sygnum, a regulated digital asset bank headquartered in Switzerland and Singapore, has appointed Christopher Giancarlo, former Chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), to its Advisory Council. Giancarlo, who helmed the CFTC from 2017 to 2019, will provide strategic guidance on global regulatory developments and partnerships.
The MOVE underscores rising institutional interest in digital assets amid increasing regulatory clarity across key markets. Sygnum’s Advisory Council includes prominent industry figures such as BlackRock Vice Chair Philipp Hildebrand and MIT’s Alexander Lipton.
Sygnum achieved unicorn status earlier this year after raising $58 million, cementing its position as a pioneer in the regulated crypto banking sector.
